Venue Policies & Procedures

The Abilene Auditorium is committed to creating a safe and enjoyable space for live entertainment.

The Abilene Auditorium, as part of ASM policy, has in place security measures for all ticketed events. Please read carefully to ensure that your next visit to the venue goes smoothly. Patrons should arrive one hour prior to all performances to ensure that checks can be completed and the performance can begin on time. 

All Guests Are Subject to Search

All guests entering Abilene Auditorium are subject to a reasonable search, including the use of metal detectors, wanding, and bag searches. Abilene Auditorium personnel reserve the right to deny entry of any items that may cause damage to the facility or danger/disruption to an event. 

In the event that prohibited items are revealed during a search, guests will be permitted to return to their vehicles to store the items or will have their items confiscated or disposed of properly. Abilene Auditorium will not safeguard any personal belongings or items of any type. Guests who violate building policies or decline to be searched may be denied entry or ejected from the venue.

Prohibited items are listed below.


The Abilene Auditorium has a select number of prohibited items that cannot enter the facility. These items include but are not limited to:

  • Air horns
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Backpacks
  • Balloons
  • Banners or signs
  • Baby carriages, unless a ticket is purchased for the baby carrier to occupy a seat
  • Cameras or recording devices, approved and credentialed media excluded
  • Canvas bags
  • Confetti / Streamers
  • Contraband / Illegal Substances
  • Explosive devices including and not limited to fireworks, poppers, cap guns
  • Glass
  • Helium balloons and inflatable balls
  • Illicit/Illegal drugs
  • Knives with blades larger than 3.5"
  • Laser pointers
  • Noisemakers
  • Outside food and beverages
  • Strollers (For cases with special needs children please contact the box office in advance.) Umbrella strollers (strollers that fold up and can fit underneath our seats) will be allowed. 
  • Tobacco products, including vapes (juuls, etc.) 
  • Tripods and camera stand of any size or dimension (including selfie-sticks)
  • Unapproved pamphlets, handouts, ads, flyers inside the venue or in parking areas without prior consent from Abilene Auditorium Management
  • Weapons and objects that may be used as a weapon (i.e. bats, rocks, etc)
  • Wrapped gifts
  • Any other item deemed unacceptable by Abilene Auditorium management, performing Artists, or promoters
  • Abilene Auditorium reserves the right to make the final determination toward additional prohibited items. Abilene Auditorium is not responsible for lost or left items, stolen items, or damaged items.

Patron Code of Conduct

Our Staff is committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for all our patrons — but we can’t do this without your help!

If the behavior of a patron or patrons around you becomes disruptive or violates the Patron Code of Conduct during a concert or event, please report it immediately to the nearest staff or security personnel.


 As a guest of the Abilene Auditorium, YOU are expected to :

Know the rules.
Please read our policies prior to attending the event and check the specific event page for detailed information. We kindly ask you to respect and adhere to special policies from the artist or tour. Occasionally, performers require unique restrictions. These requests will supersede the Abilene Auditorium's standard rules.

Pack Light.
Do not attempt to bring prohibited items into the venue. Please see the list of Prohibited Items before you attend an event.

Be Respectful.
Be the fan that others want to be around. Your decisions and actions impact those around you. Allow fans of all ages to have a positive experience and please refrain from inappropriate and disruptive behavior.

Follow directions from staff.
Patron Safety is at the top of our list. Our staff members are your resource for information regarding venue operations, rules, and emergency procedures.

Only sit in your ticketed seat.
Occupying a seat other than your own is prohibited. You may be asked to present your ticket when determining seat rights. Please do not throw your ticket away; keep your ticket accessible at all times.

Keep items at and under your seat.
Refrain from setting down drinks and other personal items behind you or in other patron’s spaces. Do not throw objects or liquids in the audience or at the stage.

Standing vs. Sitting.
It can be difficult to determine whether you should stand/dance or sit during an event, so please observe the behavior of the majority of those around you and act appropriately.

Pump down the volume.
If you can hear yourself over the performer, please reconsider the volume of your singing or talking. Fans are encouraged to sing and enjoy themselves while remaining respectful and courteous to their fellow patrons.

Please ONLY Smoke/Vape in our designated OUTDOOR smoking area.
There is absolutely no smoking of any kind in the seating areas. Smoking/Vaping is permitted in only designated in the outdoor smoking area. The designated smoking/vaping area is on the south-side patio.

Drink Responsibly.
Event staff reserves the right to and will deny entrance or eject impaired/intoxicated guests or underage drinkers in a prompt and safe manner. Please choose a Designated Driver or a rideshare option.

Be where you are supposed to be.
Do not attempt to enter restricted areas or get on stage.

Unauthorized Vending is Prohibited.
It is illegal to sell food, alcohol, tickets, or any other items in the parking lots and in the venue. Violators will be ticketed and/or removed from the premises.
