Abilene Auditorium
The Abilene Civic Center, now Abilene Convention Center in the heart of downtown, was built with bond funds approved by voters in 1967, and officially opened on November 21, 1970 with a performance by the Abilene Philharmonic which remains a constant tenant. The building included the Auditorium, Foyer, Exhibit Hall, kitchen, and offices.
From the spacious lobby to the fully computerized lighting system, the 45,000 square foot Auditorium will impress you. It has hosted a wide range of meetings and performances, from major conventions to community events, to world-famous singers and hit Broadway musicals.
The Abilene Convention Center, Abilene Auditorium is owned by the city of Abilene and managed, operated and booked by ASM Global.
